AREC (Animal Referral and Emergency Centre) was established in 2004 and is a privately owned and operated emergency veterinary hospital led by a singular, highly regarded emergency veterinarian, Dr. David Tabrett, who continues to work within the business. The Role:
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Facility Care Attendant to join our team on a temporary basis. This is an exciting opportunity for someone currently studying, or recently completing, their Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing who is eager to gain paid experience within the emergency veterinary industry.
In this role, you will play an important part in maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and smooth day to day running of our hospital. Working alongside our supportive nursing and leadership teams, you will help create a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for both patients and staff.
This role would suit someone who enjoys being active, takes pride in keeping spaces organised and clean, and is looking to build their confidence within a professional veterinary hospital environment.

Please note this is a temporary position with no guarantee of ongoing employment beyond the agreed dates. However, it is an excellent opportunity to gain meaningful paid experience in the emergency veterinary field.
This role does not involve clinical veterinary nursing duties, animal restraint, transport of animals, or handling aggressive/reactive patients. Full support, training, and task guidance will be provided throughout your employment.
