AREC is now accepting applications for the 2025 Vet Nurse Internship Program, designed for those with limited experience who are ready to build a solid foundation in this challenging and rewarding field.
About the Program
Our 12-month internship is tailored to support and develop veterinary nurses who are new to emergency and critical care. This program is a blend of hands-on experience and structured learning, aimed at equipping you with the skills, confidence, and resilience needed to become a fully-fledged ECC veterinary nurse.

The Animal Referral and Emergency Centre provides daytime specialist services and overnight and emergency or critical care for your pet.
AREC staff provide high quality care when illness or injury occurs, or if your pet needs continuing after hours care. AREC staff are trained in referral, specialty and emergency management to deal with any situation pet care demands.
