Chelsea is a local girl, growing up on a property in Raymond Terrace. She graduated from Charles Sturt University with a Bachelor of Veterinary Biology/Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Hons) in July 2014.
She then spent a good portion of the next two years in mixed practice in the Hunter Valley. She started working casually with AREC in December 2015, which showed her a new side to emergency medicine. She was very keen to learn new skills and more about emergency and critical care, which lead her to accept an internship here at AREC.
She is currently undertaking this study and is thoroughly enjoying it. She lives locally with her husband and their puppy ‘Digger’.
When not at work, she still loves the atmosphere of large animals and helps out on her parents’ property; she plays tennis socially and is keen to explore more sights that Australia has to offer.
