Leah started veterinary nursing in 2004 in Tuggerah on the central coast. After working there, learning the foundations of veterinary nursing and training new nurses she moved to Newcastle in 2008.

She started working in a clinic where she was able to manage and train nurses as they studied. In 2014 she felt the need for a greater challenge. She found herself at AREC and loves being in emergency and critical care.

Leah thrives in helping animals and providing that love and compassion in their time of need. It also allows her to continue her education with the completion of several courses including low stress handling, emergency and critical care, fluid therapy and radiography.

Leah is married with 2 children and 3 fur babies are Bob, a terrier x, Saraha my fiery tabby and Tommy my sooky fat black moggy.
