I enjoy both the variety and challenge of emergency practice, and always strive to provide comfort to owners and their pets during stressful moments. My particular interests as a clinician are diagnostic imaging and medicine.
Having worked in a mixed-practice clinic, I gained experience working with a variety of animals (both small and large) and dealing with all sorts of emergencies as an on-call vet after hours. I have done further study in abdominal radiology and point-of-care ultrasound, and use these skills on a daily basis at AREC to improve patient outcomes.
When not working, I will most likely be doing something outdoors such as going for a run, a hike or a swim at one of Newcastle’s lovely beaches.
The Animal Referral and Emergency Centre provides daytime specialist services and overnight and emergency or critical care for your pet.
AREC staff provide high quality care when illness or injury occurs, or if your pet needs continuing after hours care. AREC staff are trained in referral, specialty and emergency management to deal with any situation pet care demands.
