As a Director with over 20 years of experience in emergency veterinary medicine and leadership, I am passionate about providing high-quality care and service to animals and their owners, as well as empowering and mentoring my team of veterinary healthcare professionals. I hold a Master of Business Psychology, a Graduate certificate from the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and a Membership in Small Animal Medicine and Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care from the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists.
Currently, I am the Director at AREC (Animal Referral and Emergency Centre) in Newcastle, where I oversee the governance and finance operations of the leading referral and emergency centre in the region. In 2017, I was honoured to receive the Practitioner of the Year award from the Australian Small Animal Veterinary Association for my outstanding service and contribution to the profession and the public.
I am the President of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists, and a member of the Executive Committee of the NSW Division of the Australian Veterinary Association.
The Animal Referral and Emergency Centre provides daytime specialist services and overnight and emergency or critical care for your pet.
AREC staff provide high quality care when illness or injury occurs, or if your pet needs continuing after hours care. AREC staff are trained in referral, specialty and emergency management to deal with any situation pet care demands.
