Dr. Lindy Price is our Rehabilitation Veterinarian.
She has 22 years experience in general practice, BVSc(hons) has completed her memberships in surgery MACVS(surg) and has Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner CCRP qualification from the University of Tennessee.
Lindy is passionate about veterinary rehabilitation and uses a combination of physiotherapy exercises, stem cell therapy and regenerative medicine and laser therapy to provide recovering pets with the best of care.
Rehabilitation helps speed recovery after major surgeries, like spinal surgery or joint surgeries, such as cruciate repairs. Rehabilitation can provide effective management of developmental diseases like elbow dysplasia and hip dysplasia in younger dogs, and rehabilitation is also a great way to manage diseases of aging, such as osteoarthritis and degenerative myelopathy, improving quality of life dramatically for pets.
Rehabilitation is an intricate blend of behaviour management and training, physiotherapy, veterinary medicine and surgery and owner education, so Lindy is well placed with her experience to tailor a customised program, tailored to suit each pet and their family, during the recovery process.
The Animal Referral and Emergency Centre provides daytime specialist services and overnight and emergency or critical care for your pet.
