Originally from New Zealand, Ricky grew up in Sydney before moving to Townsville where he graduated from James Cook University with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science. He started his career in mixed practice in the freezing Snowy Mountains in NSW before he made the jump to Emergency Medicine. His experience as a busy on-call rural vet means he’s no stranger to emergencies at all hours of the night. Ricky enjoys the variety of caseload in emergency and has a keen interest in diagnostic imaging and medicine. When he’s not working, you can find him skiing, hiking or exploring our beautiful coast.
