The fast-pace and dynamic environment of emergency – there is always something new to see and learn! I enjoy working with wildlife and also cuddling all the cats that come in (and winning over the fractious ones).
I joined the AREC crew back in 2017 as an Animal Attendant, progressing to Hospital Nurse over the years and am often a face seen training new staff on their shadow shifts. From my time as a Zoo Keeper I also have a soft spot for working with our native wildlife and ensuring they receive the care they need.
When I’m not at work, I’m either reading while snuggled up with my 2 dogs, catching up with friends, or planning my next overseas adventure!
The Animal Referral and Emergency Centre provides daytime specialist services and overnight and emergency or critical care for your pet.
AREC staff provide high quality care when illness or injury occurs, or if your pet needs continuing after hours care. AREC staff are trained in referral, specialty and emergency management to deal with any situation pet care demands.
