My years of working in animal welfare has made me passionate about animal care and behaviour.
I endeavour to connect with our very stressed/anxious and at times cranky patients and it makes me so happy being able to create a connection with those patients and create their visit just that bit better and hopefully improve their next visit to the hospital or vet clinic. I am also passionate about conservation of our wildlife and i am always trying to learn more about caring for them to ensure the best outcome for release and sustainability.
I have been nursing over 15 years and I have found it to be a very rewarding career. Out of those 15 years, I spent 12 of those working at an animal welfare facility which taught me so many things and has made me the nurse that I am today.
I enjoy coming to work and bringing some humour and fun to our shift, along with helping other nurses and showing them tricks that I’ve picked up along my nursing career and also learning off them! There is always something new to learn.
In my spare time I like to spend time with my family spending time outdoors or camping and listening to music. I also enjoy playing guitar and fishing.
