After many years in general practice, Rachel decided to make the jump into emergency nursing for a change of pace and the opportunity to learn new skills. Since graduating with a Bachelor of Veterinary Technology in 2025, she’s loved continuing to grow her knowledge and experience in the emergency setting.
Rachel thrives on the variety that emergency work brings. The fast-paced, ever-changing environment keeps her challenged, engaged and constantly learning, which is something she finds incredibly rewarding. Her favourite part of the job is caring for critically unwell patients and helping them recover so they can be reunited with their families.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find Rachel adventuring, soaking up the sunshine, walking her Golden Retriever, Hux, or exploring op shops in search of her next upcycling project.
