Sally joined AREC after two years working in customer service within the animal rescue sector. Prior to this, she built a career as a qualified social worker, supporting children and young people across a range of services, including out-of-home care, homelessness, and domestic and family violence.
With a strong commitment to the wellbeing of both people and animals, Sally is passionate about providing compassionate support during times of vulnerability and trauma. Her professional experience has equipped her with a deep understanding of the importance of empathy, advocacy, and care in achieving positive outcomes for those in need. She hopes to begin studies in vet nursing at the end of 2026.
Sally has 3 dogs and one cat. She frequently fosters children and animals, offering temporary care and support to those in need of a safe and welcoming home environment.
Outside of work, Sally enjoys reading in the sunshine, spending time with friends, exploring new walking trails and discovering local cafés. She loves a good joke, has a bubbly personality, a warm energy and a love for live music and comedy.
