Tatiana Millar

Director of Nursing
Tatiana began her nursing career in 2012 in small animal general practice, spending five years building a strong clinical foundation before transitioning into corporate GP nursing. It was there that her passion for nurse leadership truly flourished – progressing into roles that were uniquely suited to developing the skills, confidence, and voices of the nurses around her.
Tatiana joined the AREC team in 2026 as Director of Nursing, bringing with her a deep commitment to excellence in patient care and an unwavering dedication to the nursing team. She firmly believes that veterinary nurses are extraordinary – capable, compassionate professionals whose presence in the hospital setting is nothing short of heroic. Supporting and championing nurses has been one of the great privileges of her career, and she looks forward to continuing that work here.
Clinically, Tatiana holds strong passions in analgesia nursing, supportive nutrition, and infection control. She is driven by a desire to create gold-standard care for every patient in her team’s charge. Training veterinary nurses brings her immense joy, and she is committed to fostering an environment where every team member can grow and thrive.
Beyond her professional background, Tatiana brings a lifelong love of animals to her role. She spent over a decade volunteering with animal rescue groups, working with a wide variety of species and care needs — an experience that has profoundly shaped both her empathy and her practical knowledge.
Outside of work, Tatiana loves spending time with her family, cooking, gardening, and sewing. She is also an avid invertebrate hobbyist; a passion that keeps her just as curious and hands-on at home as she is at work.
